Ingredients to Achieving Financial Dreams

One of the key ingredients to achieving all your financial dreams is to take excellent care of your health.  One down fall of many “type A” professionals is they fall into the trap of allowing their health go unattended as they vehemently pursue their financial and business intentions.  This is a big mistake.  Without your health, wealth means very little.  Here are few keys that Melinda and I practice to make sure we do everything we can to take care of our bodies.

1.      Earthing: There is a great book called “Earthing” which talks earhtingabout the health benefits of being grounded and in physical contact with the earth.  What this means is there are great health and healing benefits to walking barefoot on the grass, dirt and beach.  I walk daily barefoot at our park and it does wonders for the great feeling of vitality.

latte2.      Drink 1 Cup of Coffee:  Many medical studies show the health benefits of coffee and I drink the healthiest coffee in the world that is fused “Ganoderma” distributed by Organo Gold. I sent most of you some as a gift, if not let me know and I will ship you some.

3.      Reflexology: At least once a month (we like to go once a week) go have a Reflexology session done on your hands and feet.  The reflexologyhealth benefits are too numerous to share in this short email but they are dramatic.  Being Board Certified in Reflexology I know firsthand about this healing art.  The price range are from $15.00 to 60.00 for an hour session.

4.      Go Green:  Since the 1980’s I have been interested in natural

5.      Exercise:  Join a gym, get out doors, do some yoga anything to keep your body fit and moving.  Whatever it takes.just do it.  If you follow a simple exercise plan you will be amazed how good you will feel.

Get Clear and Remove the Fear

Get Clear and Remove the Fear.  Fear of failure, fear of the future, fear of lack, fear of sickness and every other fear is a byproduct of not being
fully clear of the things we want.  People sometimes think because they know what they don’t want that this is the same thing as of knowing what they do want.  Just knowing what you don’t want does not mean you are crystal clear on what you do want, and when you are not clear on what you want it creates a breeding ground for fear.  I have found over the past 30 years being in the self help business that most people have a hard time getting clear on what they want because they cannot figure out how they could ever achieve those things they would really love to have.  Of course you cannot figure out how to get the things you want, if you could you would already have them.  The reason we cannot figure out how to get the things we want is because the intellectual mind was never designed to figure the how, it is only designed to figure out the “What” we want.

Fear will grip your mind and heart and attract all the wrong things to you, so you must learn how to conquer and defeat fear and give it no place in your life.  The starting point to eliminate fear is to become crystal clear on what you want.and then keep that image no matter what.

Living an Extraordinary Life

1.      Find your talent (that which you love to do and are good at) and “Do It”.  Some call this your passion, and it is here that you will find your
joy, happiness, energy and monetary reward.

2.      Stop Wasting Time. Stop wasting your time with things and people that bring you no value.  Don’t compromise on this vital issue.  It will make the difference whether you live an extraordinary life or a mundane miserable existence.

3.      Every day you are investing in your Success or Defeat by what you do, what you say, what you think and who you associate with.

4.      Master the book “Think and Grow Rich”.  If you are not reading and studying this book on a regular basis you are not really serious about eliminating the things you don’t want and attracting and getting the things you do want.

5.      When you invest in you (your personal growth) the marketplace has no problem investing in your product line.at whatever price tag you put on it.

“Inner Contentment”

Loving your Spouce

“Inner Contentment” is the root of all the things we desire in life.  The only reason we desire financial independence, extraordinary relationships and complete health is because we believe those things will bring about that “Inner Contentment” that our soul seeks and craves but for most people their conscience mind is completely oblivious to this fact.  And the truth of the matter is many of those things do in fact bring about the contentment and happiness we seek, at least for a while.

Does that mean we cannot have “Inner Contentment” while we seek to acquire or manifest the things we desire? No of course not, in fact the real secret is that we can obtain that “Inner Contentment” while we seek those things, and if we learn how to obtain it before actually having those things in the physical realm, that Inner Contentment will carry over when they do show up and continue to stay long after those material things have passed away from our life.

“Proper Education Pertaining to our Pursuit”

People Prospecting

We are just days away from bringing in a New Year.  For millions across the globe it’s like a massive marathon race.  Runners are excited they are pumped up, warming up, gearing up and ready to blast out of the gate to their Success Dreams on January 1, 2014.  This is all good and praise worthy however the studies show that less than four percent (4%) will reach their goals and seventy five percent will abandon their dreams after the first ninety days.

Why such a high rate of goal and dream fatality?  Because the majority base their New Year Journey on excitement, motivation, hope, and determination instead of the one main ingredient that we all need and that is “Proper Education Pertaining to our Pursuit”.  This is completely different from formal education.  Let me give you an example; more people will have financial goals this New Year of 2014 than any other type of goal, even higher than weight loss goals.

No matter how healthy or sickly your financial condition is right now, you should have financial increase and financial independence as one of your primary focus points for 2014.  That being said, most will fail in this pursuit due to a lack of “Financial Training and Education”.  You don’t need to learn how to manage money because of a lack of money but because of an abundance of money.

Here is an interesting fact: In 2012 President Obama paid 20.5% in taxes on approximately $3 million in income.  Governor Mitt Romney paid 14% in taxes on $21 million in income.  Who do you think is smarter when it comes to managing money and financial increase?  Instead of poor people getting mad at these facts, it should have prompted them to ask how Mr. Romney got so financially smart.

The Number One Asset Of All High Income Earners…

artofbusinessipodAll business and financial success comes down to one thing, the ability to make right decisions.  If you study the habits and work ethics of Millionaires and high income earners the one thing that stands out, is their ability to make “Right” decisions and make them almost instantaneously and then rarely if ever change them.  On the hand, if you study those who are always financially struggling and never do anything not worthy in business you will find the dominate trait is they constantly make the “Wrong” decisions and take forever to come to a decision and then change that decision multiple times.

One of the saddest things I come across is highly talented people, or high potential companies that fail completely because they never developed the skill of making good and quick decisions.  My mind is constantly being blown and shorts blown down to my ankles of the stupidity of small business owners, professionals and entrepreneurs who simply cannot make a decision quickly and then when they do make a decision it is the wrong one!  I want to ask them if they are campaigning for the “Jack Ass of the Year Award” because if they are, they are sure to win.

Here is a check list to gauge and predict if failure is headed your way.  If any one of these items is in your present, you can be sure that failure will be in your future.

  1. Seeing Opportunity and then making the wrong decision to let it pass.  There are thousands of reasons why people do this but I think the biggest two factors is fear and complete stupidity.  Once you get into the habit of operating this way, your chances for sustainable wealth or success is almost zero.  Here is the culprit; you have (in your mind) every right reason to justify your wrong decision. 
  1. Keeping the Safety Lock On.  When you cannot make a quick and accurate decision it is like going out in the jungle with a gun but keeping your safety lock on permanent mode.  When a roaring lion comes chasing full speed to eat you, you stand there with a loaded gun unable to save your self.  I have had people tell me, “I never make an instant decision, I always sleep on it for a few days” in which I want to reply “Should you ever wish to succeed in business and finances you must remove your head from your Ass”! 
  1. When The Cheese Looks To Good.  If it was not so sad it would be comical of how “Spooked” people are out there in the marketplace, including business people.  Have you ever watched a bird eating French fires you threw at them?  You just wanted to feed them and yet many would not come get the fries in fear you had ulterior motives.  Those that did come, they were in a constant state of fright and apprehension, moving their head this way and that way, and the slightest sound causes them to take flight.  Even a mouse, when the cheese looks to good and too easy will reject going for it.  If you are “Spooked” you have no business being in business. 

CIMG0683Bob Proctor personally taught me how to make a quick, accurate and correct decision every single time.  In fact, this skill he taught me was the causative factor in producing 4 Success Films successfully with massive amounts of money at stake all requiring instant and correct decisions.  Here is the formula he taught me.

When making a decision you ask yourself two questions;

  1. Will this decision move me closer to my dreams?
  2. Is this decision in harmony with what I am doing? 

If the answer is yes, you move forward with it.  You do not ask if can you do it, do I have the resources or anything else because everything you need will show up.  That skill and using it has made me a fortune!

Take a look at your decision ability, it reflects your current conditions as well as predicts your future ones.

Prospecting Made Easy

There may not be anything more distasteful in the entire realm of business than prospecting.  For most, it is painful, unfruitful and down right unpleasant.  It is usually done under extreme inner protest, and done extremely poorly.  It is any wonder that it produces disgusting results?  The big culprit in all this misery over prospecting and marketing comes from not understanding the process and having a wrong perspective of it.  Far too many professionals view it as begging people to do something they do not want to do and finding great pleasure in slamming the door shut in our face. 

Okay, maybe they don’t articulate it that way, but I promise you that is the mechanics going on inside their noodle. Rejection is always painful; I do not care how tough you say your skin is, or how much you say it does not bother you.  Getting a No and rejection to your offer is like taking a straight kick to the McNuggets.  It hurts even if you are wearing a Cup or don’t have any McNuggets to be kicked into your stomach!

The good news is there are some pro-active things you can do to soften the blow and pain, and in fact make prospecting a lot easier.

Prospecting is about…

Timing: Timing is everything.  When we show up with our offer to people it is more about timing in their life than our selling skills.  If the timing is right, you can sell hard candy to people with no teeth.  If the timing is not right, you could be exchanging hundred-dollar bills for twenty-dollar bills and people will not take them.  If you think I am exaggerating, I run a lot of sponsorship programs where we offer people $11,000 with no strings attached and hundreds refuse to take it!  I used to think it was due to complete stupidity but I leaned its more about wrong timing for them. 

Finding:  Effective and successful prospecting is about people finding you and not so much of you finding them.  It is about attracting customers, not hunting for customers.  You must become visible in the marketplace so that your ideal customers can find and locate you.  They are spending money on the exact same thing you are selling and they might as well spend it with you.  And they will if they can find you.

Identifying:  When you are prospecting you are really going into the marketplace to identify the people you can help, whose timing is just right and want what you are selling. When you go to the fruit section, do you just close your eyes and pick any fruit on the table?  Hell no, you spend 10 minutes expecting, turning over, poking, touching, picking up, putting back and finally identifying the best ones to put in your basket.  Do you put rotten, bug ridden fruit in your basket? No…then why are you accepting rotten customers for?

Eliminating:  When people say No to your offer they are simply eliminating themselves from your target market list.  You are eliminating them from your radar of ideal customers.  When people say No, they are doing you a big favor, they are saving you time, energy and money.  I had the best experience last Sunday when I went to the Flea Market.  A vendor there had a couple of models I was interested in.  When I asked him the price and he told me, I countered with an offer.  He smiled and said, “No, but thank you for the offer”.  I was so impressed with his come back reply, and one I never heard before that I paid him his asking price (then I grumbled to everyone the whole day that I paid too much for the item!).  When I made my offer to him, he immediately identified me and basically but extremely politely and tactfully said “Your ass is out of here”!

When you understand these four dynamics about prospecting, not only does it become easier, but you will find it more productive as well as profitable.  You will be marketing from an intellectual stand point instead of an emotional standpoint.  I guess you could compare it to wearing a cup made out of iron instead of plastic…

“The e-book Phenomena” How to turn your e-Book into a Financial Fortune!

The only way to earn more money is by creating more new customers.  This is a very easy equation to understand, the hard part is how to apply it or implement it.  As the creator and publisher of the Power of Mentorship groupbooksbook series, which now has 24 titles, have sold more than 200,000 copies worldwide and can be found on Barnes and Noble.com, and Amazon.com I completely understand the traditional methods and reasons of writing and publishing a book.

However the most important thing I have learned from this publishing business is something I learned 15 years ago that I just happened to stumble upon that allowed me to sell a million dollars worth of products in a single year!  What was that secret?  “You make more money by giving things away instead of trying to sell them”.

15 years ago when I was running my consulting firm I had a habit of giving away books by motivational speakers to my prospective clients and to my clients not as a marketing tool, but because I knew they would enjoy them.  As a result of giving those books away I sold more than a million dollars worth of business that year mostly from referrals of people I gave books to.   Back then it never dawned on me that those books were a great marketing tool, nevertheless, it brought those results.

Even today, I make more money (and our co-authors do too) by giving away books than I do by selling them.  I have made thousands of dollars selling books, but hundreds of thousands of dollars in new business and customers by giving them away!

The fastest path to cash, more income, new business and customers is by “Attracting Them” not “Prospecting for Them”.  Here is a well-kept secret by every millionaire business person; “The way to get people to take something out of their pockets (money) is to First put something (value) into them”.

Now let’s face it, giving away free printed books can be costly up front, however, giving away an e-book cost nothing and can be as effective as giving away a hard copy of a book.  I create thousands of dollars and entire list of new customers by giving away e-books. Giving away e-books creates value, goodwill and appreciation among those you give them too.

“Giving away a quality e-book is the most cost-effective way to create more business and income on the Planet”.

But beware; not all e-books are equal!  Many people give away books that are public domain and although many of them are very good, most people have them or read them before, therefore it diminishes the “value factor” of them.  But when are giving your prospects and clients an e-book that have chapters by some of the most powerful leaders of the 21st Century, plus you positioning your self as an “Expert” by writing a chapter in this book, how much value do you think that you create for them?

The Art of Living WellYou can use the book as a lead generator, marketing tool, give away product or sell it on your website.  Giving an e-book away that will not only help many people, but help you create thousands of dollars in new business and customers.
