The Hidden Secret to Wealth

Do you realize that money is just a symbol for value?  What you have is your report card of what you give.  Your bank account reflects your value account.  If you watch the actions, mindset and habits of the average person or business that is struggling financially, you will find that they are more interested in making money than they are in producing value.

There is one thing that you cannot do and that is deceive the business market.  The business market only responds to releasing its funds to value.  How do you create value in the market place, your customer, family or for your fellowmen?  I have found four powerful ways.

  1. Dump the Scarcity Mindset

This kind of mindset is the reason people live a life and/or run a business that is based on making money instead of adding or creating value for people.  Thus, they struggle in finances and in every other area of their life that they apply this method.  They do this because of an internal belief (paradigm) that there is not enough for everyone and in order for them to have enough they must somehow win the battle and get yours.

groupbooksRecently I met a very bright young man (in his twenties) who has a young family to support and was making just enough to get by.  I had the opportunity to take him to lunch a couple of times and he really wanted me to mentor and help him.  I gave him a small job for one day, working in my office and offered to pay him $500.00 for the day.  The first thing he asked me was when I would pay him?  Then he asked how long did he have to work?  Then he wanted to know if lunch was included.

It was not that this young man was lazy, nor did he intend to come across like someone walking around in a fog, it was just that he had the mindset of being more interested in what he got verses in what he could give.  Although he has great potential, this type of mindset will keep him locked into poverty and just getting by.

I have a family member that he too suffers from this great peril of a scarcity mindset, and like the young man above, does not have two quarters to rub together from his paycheck.  As I observed him the other day as we were eating out, I could not take his rude behavior of not waiting for anyone else to eat, but getting his plate he dives right in, chewing with his mouth open and not caring of his manner.  I slammed my fist on the table and said David (not his real name) “How does it feel being the only person on the planet?”  He looked up at me and said, “I wish I was, that way I could have everything just for me”.  Pathetic but very sad, sad that he lives like this and sad that millions of people operate and run their business and life with this mindset.

If you want to spot a winner, become aware of those you eat out with.  A winner will always pick up the check; a loser will always expect you to pick up the check.  On a good day, a loser may say, “I will get the tip” and then leave a dollar!   You cannot possibly get ahead in life or financially with a scarcity paradigm or mindset.

  1. Be on a Mission

Ask yourself everyday, “How can I bring my customer, marketplace, people, friends, business and family more value?  This is a foundational principle that we run our company and our lives by.  Does this mean you should give away your product or service? When we first launched this offer, I had a friend tell me, “What a great marketing plan”.  I said, “I am not doing this as a marketing plan, I am doing it this way so that I can bring value to those who want to improve themselves and not waste money on those who only want a free ride in life”.

When I write about bringing value to people, you do have to use some common sense.  There is a great difference between giving value and wasting money.  My view is, you feed a Jack Ass corn not gold!  Value should be given to those who deserve value (which is most people). Do you know the ones in your life who deserve gold and those that deserve corn?  Your ability to know the difference will be a key factor in your overall success.

  1. Million Dollar Service

Create a plan to give people what I call “Million Dollar Service”.  Model it after the kind of service you receive from an exclusive hotel or high-end restaurant.  Make a list of 5 things you can do for your customers that are above and beyond your call of duty.  Small things can create a big impact.  It is very important that you base those jesters off the foundation of value and caring for people.

Do not use it as a means to dig deeper into their pockets, or a con job of horse doo-doo, but instead as a means to say “Thank You” and “I really appreciate your business”.  In other words, make it true value that comes from the heart of service.

  1. Develop the Trust Factor

This is one of if not the most important thing you must develop if you plan to have long-term success in your business, finances, relationships and life.  People must trust you.  This is a characteristic you cannot fake.  People invest in my services because of one main factor, they trust me.  Trust is something you cannot buy or borrow, it must be earned.  Trust comes from being transparent and honest with people, being a master of what you do, your product or service being the best on the market and you providing unparalleled value.

If you develop the reputation that you cannot be trusted, plan on living like a vagabond in the business world.  Being a person that cannot be trusted to keep your word, commitments or conducting business where you are always ending up with the bigger stick is a sure path to financial and business ruin.  If you cannot trust someone to return a phone call, do you think you can trust them to return value for your money?

The fastest path to cash is to understand, when you increase your value to the market place, you automatically increase your income and profits.  Work on creating value, and the money will take of itself.

And that is the Hidden Secret to Wealth.

Predictable Wealth

If we are not careful it is very easy to fall into the illusional trap of believing that money, and wealth, even cash flow is evasive and unpredictable.  And for many professionals and business owners it absolutely is.  However, it is not because Wealth is unpredictable, but it’s because people have never learned the set principles that govern wealth and how to master them to such a way that wealth becomes as predictable as the morning Sun.

I have the utmost respect for all my teachers and Mentors who taught me the life skills of the Law of Attraction and I am a hundred percent believer in this Law of Life and use and promote this principle myself.  However, stating that, I have seen a lot of people who did not understand the complete Law of Attraction and thus become bitterly disappointed and frustrated because they did not obtain the results they were seeking.

law of attractionWhen it comes to using the Law of Attraction I think Brian Tracy has been a shinning beacon of light in this matter, to help us all learn and understand the proper use of this dynamic law.  You see, many people have this thought pattern that the Law of Attraction eliminates the Law of Hard Work.  The Truth of the Matter, like Brian teaches, Hard Work actually activates the Law of Attraction.

It is the law of hard work, and massive activity that produces the miracle process of prosperity, cash flow, customer retention, business growth and “Predictable Wealth”. 

Here is a little exercise for the 3 percent group (the 97 percent group of the masses will just look at this exercise, scratch their ass and continue to wonder why they are broke)

Write down you goal that you want to earn every Month.

Now, write down your current marketing plan you are using to grow your business and sales and compare them to your monthly income goal and ask yourself if the marketing plan you are using right now is going to get you that monthly income goal?

This business and financial acid test is the beginning process to get you to start using the principles of Predictable Wealth.  If we ever hope to achieve financial independence the first person we must stop lying to about our circumstances is to ourselves!  There is nothing worse than not knowing or being able to depend on a constant predictable cash flow or monthly income, but that problem is easily resolved by having a proper marketing plan in place.

If you are an Entrepreneur, business owner, professional, salesperson, part-time business owner, coach, speaker, network marketer, or have an on-line business, you can Predict your Wealth by looking at your marketing system, which is simply the method you use to obtain and retain customers and clients.

If you do not have a solid, proven Marketing Plan and System in place that you are using everyday to increase your customer base and sales, the “Grim Reaper” of business failure is hot on your trail and it will only be a matter of time before he catches you and does things to you that would not be done to a farm animal!

Whenever I speak to professionals and business people, I ask them “what is their marketing plan to attract new customers and increase sales on a monthly basis is’.  The majority it’s sad to report have nothing solid in place, as they scramble to hide, get around or dodge the question, I see this big sign stamped on their forehead “Business Death Sentence”. 

Let me share a personal story with you.  Ever since I was a teenager, I had this uncanny compassion for the poor and those struggling with financial need.  It was compassion so strong that it compelled me when I was sixteen years old to take half my pay check on Friday and go to skid row in Los Angeles, California and give money to all the people living on the streets.

I had no clue or idea why I was like this, or felt this way.  In fact, in my twenties, I prayed that God would make me a Millionaire so I could help people who struggled financially. In fact even to this day, when I see people driving around in a Junkie old car with no air conditioner, black smoke coming from the tail pipe, crack windshield and a bunch of kids in the back seat, it makes me realize why I go to the marketplace everyday and shout that there is a better way.  You do not have to live in lack and shortage.

All anyone must do is just stop and take the time to Learn how to change things!  When I see once prosperous business people, fighting to stay afloat, I know that they do not see the answer to their problem, and that is why we are so vehement to try to wake everyone up to the fact that…”The Answer to Prosperity Is Not In Positive Thinking or The Law of Attraction, it is having a Solid Proven Marketing Plan that you implement with Massive Activity Everyday.

Hard Times Are Not Necessary…

As Melinda and I drive around our city, the number of empty business buildings seems to be at record highs.  I am sure that empty buildings are also saturating your town and city.  One of the saddest things is to drive by a business and peer into the windows and see that there are no customers in there. The business seems like a dying ghost town.

Embrace the JourneyAs a business owner myself, I know how painful it is to be in a situation where you see your heart, blood, hard work and total investment dying and going down the tubes. Unless you been there, words cannot express the pain and heartache.  Driving to get a big Cheese Burger from Tommy’s the other night, waiting the for the light to turn green I was looking into a little mom and pop Mexican restaurant where there was not a single person in there, my stomach got a knot of compassion for them.

The thing that disturbs me more than seeing these dying businesses and empty buildings is realizing that all this shortage and hard times is Completely Unnecessary!  The reason these buildings are empty and business owners are failing is because they never took the time to develop an economy sustaining Marketing Plan and System to Attract New Customers and Sustain Current Customers.  If they had a Proven Marketing Plan they would prosper like an Oasis in the middle of a hot desert.

Although our economy is harsh, it does not cause professionals to suffer lack.  What a bad economy does however is demand us to take 100 percent Responsibility for the results that are happening in our business and life.

In a good economy, it allows us to coast and ride the wave of global prosperity without taking much responsibility for our business and therefore can thrive with a poor marketing plan or no marketing plan at all.

But all that changes when the economy goes south and now you are in the middle of a battle with no experience, no weapons, no way to defend yourself and the enemy comes in like a flood and turns you every way but loose and does you butt wrong!

If you are a business owner or professional, unless you make a strong change of direction in your marketing plan and put that plan at the very top of your priority list, it will be just a matter of time until you will become the next victim of these vicious economic times we are facing today.

Hear me well, things are not going to get better any time soon, we are a long, long way off before the financial pressure is going to let up, and only those who are Marketing Prepared and Strong are going to survive.  For those of you that are currently employed and do not have some kind of side business in the works, that’s like walking on a tight rope without a net on a very windy day.

The Good News is, you do not have to be a victim of this economy, Hard Times Are Not Necessary.  Wake up and realize the reason for your business lack is the lack of a Marketing Plan.  Your Marketing Plan and Plan of Massive Activity is going to be your Ark that will save you in this storm!

Forget Plan B If You Don’t Have Plan A

Almost on a weekly basis I talk with individuals who try to explain to me a new business concept or explain what exactly their company does.  After 30 to 45 minutes of patient listening I have no clue of what they are trying to say and the strange thing is, neither do they!  It is just a bunch of exciting garble that eventually ends up producing absolutely nothing.

The Journey MovieAt a pool side, asking the man next to me what he did, it took him 30 minutes of non stop talking to finally explain that he was into Network Marketing.  I remember another time an individual trying to explain the answer to my simple question of “What do you do for a living?” Taking 15 minutes to answer the question he said that he was a “Multiple Transporter of humans to a higher level”.  I wasn’t trying to be funny but I said, “You are a Bus Driver?”   I was a hundred percent serious!

If you are going to even have the remotest chance of doubling and tripling your income you must know what business you are in.  Now that seems like anyone in business would be able to answer that, but shockingly I have found less then two percent could give me the correct answer.  To cut through all the blubber of garble trying to figure out and explain what you do, all business comes down to just two things.  Learn this and your money worries will be forever over.  All business comes down to…
