How strong are your leadership skills?  Poor leadership and weak standards create unhealthy teams that produce failing results.  Success is your responsibility.  You must develop and hone your leadership skills in order to create productive teams that produce superior results. In today’s world of business, teams are not composed of just employees for the majority of small business owners have no employees but compose their enterprises through outsourcing, vendors, sub-contractors and joint venture partners. These venues are what create your teams.

The first goal of leadership is know your direction-where you want to go, want you want to have and what you want to create.

Then you must communicate effectively and clearly to your team your boundaries, expectations, and rewards of all team players.

After that you must commit to adherence to your core principals and plans while maintaining room for flexibility.  And then last but certainly not least, you must chose the right team players.  Here are the rules: “Be quick to fire and slow to Hire”.

Never be afraid to eliminate the wrong person from your team and never be afraid to give ample opportunity to the right person on your team.  Both of these methods will help you earn a million dollar annual income.

Are You a Leader or A Filler? Our Business Needs Both

Many traditional business professionals do not take the industry of Network Marketing as a serious business model and vehemently do CIMG0726everything they can to stay away from it.  Although at one time I was in this opposing group I soon realized that was a big mistake on my end.  Talk to some of the worlds highest paid business tycoons including Warren Buffet and Donald Trump and they will tell you that Network Marketing is a brilliant business plan and a rock solid industry.

All top international motivational and business leaders are big components of Network Marketing with many of them having some of their MSI (Multiple Streams of Income) in this industry.  No one in their right mind would say that Network Marketing is an easy industry and business, no more than anyone would say that operating a traditional business was easy.  Network Marketing is an annual multi-billion dollar industry with 80 million people involved in it yet less than three percent make a six figure income.

It is no secret that thousands of people drop out of Network Marketing almost instantly after they sign up.  For many it just takes one No for their Network Marketing career to end.  This has been the case since 1969 when someone first uttered the first word “Amway”. 

I remember in the early 70’s going with my dad to my baseball coach’s house and having a meeting with folks and then my dad loading his trunk with cases of soap.  I had no clue what this was all about, all I knew was that we had more soap in our garage than the owners of Tide and my mom was so mad at my dad she made him sleep in the garage with all that soap!

I guess it was those memories that got stuck in my subconscious mind as a kid that made me tell people up front that the business side of Network Marketing is not for most people but the products were.  I was a proud (but stupid bird) ranting on my soap box (pardon the pun) that Network Marketing was not for most people until…

I Understood the Comp Plan.  Once I understood the comp plan of Network Marketing my motto instantaneously changed from this business is not for most people to…

“This Business Is For Everybody!” 

It is no secret that the key to building a six figure income in Network Marketing will be based on your ability to build a team of leaders.  It is also no secret that for those lacking knowledge of this industry bringing in people who do nothing at all is like having an open wound.  But what we must understand is the difference between Leaders and Fillers and that we need both of them in our business.

A leader of course is a professional business builder that we recruited and they go on to build a very successful down line and business.   A “Filler” is one who jumps into this business with us ready to tear up the world only to fizzle out and do nothing…except stay on auto-ship and love the products.  Many people in Network Marketing only want to recruit business builders, and do not even want to put “fillers” in their down line.

This is a major mistake because when you understand the comp plan, those fillers help close the gap and fill up your required business volume.  When you get to that place, you will jump for joy instead of wanting to give up this business when those who do not want to buy the big package and become a leader want to instead come in at the lowest possible level and take it slow.  Coming in at that level is fine just make sure they get set up for auto-ship!

I get as excited about signing up a filler as I do a business leader because I know that fillers help boost my paycheck, ranking and overall business volume.  However if you want to earn Financial Freedom in the industry of Network Marketing know for sure you will never do it as a “Filler” you must be a “Leader”.  So the next time a six and seven-figure income earner shares with you the business opportunity know for sure in the back of their mind they are wondering if you have the wisdom to see you can be the next millionaire leader on their team or is this stupid bastard a “Filler?”  It really does not matter much to them; they need both “Leaders and Fillers”.

The question is…which one do you want to be a Leader or a “Filler”?

The Cure for Chronic Lack

The cure for Chronic Lack is daily, massive and obsessive prospecting and marketing “Activity”.  Mild to severe to chronic financial lack in business can be directly traced back to insufficient prospecting and marketing which results in lack of sales.  When we face any type of financial crunch is never due to external causes, but always internal causes.  As negative and dreary as this sounds, it really is a positive thing because we hold the cure and remedy to fix this condition of lack any time we choose to do so.

However, we must understand that excuses and activity do not mix and cannot coexist in the same atmosphere any more than oil and water mix together. Let’s do some simple math which governs the dynamics of the child’s lemonade stand to a massive comprehensive empire like e-bay.  All business functions on this one dynamic, “the selling of products and/or service for profit. Take this one dynamic away from any business and that business ceases to exist.

Business, product, service, marketing, and leadership have a matrix of diversity yet they all come into synergistic agreement in this one element…”Sales”.  Here is the other intricate dimension that is both simplistic and profound, “Sales do not occur without the element of a customer.  Now as simple as this illustrated equation of mathematical business mechanics is, very few companies or professionals have a working knowledge of this, at least not to a degree that causes them to put it into daily action.

There is however a few companies out there that have a complete understanding of this concept and perhaps you may have heard of some of these firms like…

  • Disneyland 
  • Wall Mart
  • McDonalds
  • Goggle
  • E-Bay 

Therefore, if sales and customers are the driving force of all businesses and the main factor in Ultra Mega businesses why in the world would are you focusing on other aspects of your business and not making Prospecting and Marketing your Number One Daily Priority?   Do you realize that the above mentioned mega companies make advertising, marketing and sales their Number One Priority?  This called a clue to why they are so successful.

Now I wrote all that to try to get you to realize that you do not have a financial, business, product or service problem, all those are minor things that can be fixed while in the midst of making a profit.  If lack is showing up in your career or business its because you have a marketing problem.  Fix your marketing problem and the rest will be easy to fix.

Forget Plan B If You Don’t Have Plan A

Almost on a weekly basis I talk with individuals who try to explain to me a new business concept or explain what exactly their company does.  After 30 to 45 minutes of patient listening I have no clue of what they are trying to say and the strange thing is, neither do they!  It is just a bunch of exciting garble that eventually ends up producing absolutely nothing.

The Journey MovieAt a pool side, asking the man next to me what he did, it took him 30 minutes of non stop talking to finally explain that he was into Network Marketing.  I remember another time an individual trying to explain the answer to my simple question of “What do you do for a living?” Taking 15 minutes to answer the question he said that he was a “Multiple Transporter of humans to a higher level”.  I wasn’t trying to be funny but I said, “You are a Bus Driver?”   I was a hundred percent serious!

If you are going to even have the remotest chance of doubling and tripling your income you must know what business you are in.  Now that seems like anyone in business would be able to answer that, but shockingly I have found less then two percent could give me the correct answer.  To cut through all the blubber of garble trying to figure out and explain what you do, all business comes down to just two things.  Learn this and your money worries will be forever over.  All business comes down to…

And How Do You Plan To Sell It?”

One main reason professionals and business owners are drowning financially is because they are surrounded with tons and tons of Business Blubber that does not allow the business of cash flow to reach their enterprise which is Attracting and Retaining Customers.  If clients are paying my $500.00 per hour consulting fees they can ramble on non stop until their Poly Grip Glue dissolves and their choppers begin to wobble.  However, if you are on my time, the moment you start to get lost in a mixture of Business Blubber (which is usually the first 3-5 minutes) I cut through the chase and say;
