Definition to Success

 “Success is not a Destination, Success is a Definition”.  The reason so many people feel like failures is not just from a lack of results or the missing of set goals.  The biggest culprit is not knowing what Success means to them. There is no such thing as a public standard to measure success with because it’s not a title, rank, position or income destination, it is a personalized definition based on your own standards.  What success means to me may not mean to you.  For me sticking with my health and exercise program warrants total success in my mind and heart.

I would encourage you to take some time out and create your own definition of Success.  What does it really mean to you?  The worst place to measure Success is from other people and what they are doing.  Success can only be measured by what it means to you, the value and the meaning you place on it.  Once you come to terms of what success means to you write down in big letters “This Is What Success Means To Me…(Your Name)”! and then below it write out your definition.  The great thing about this is you can and will change it throughout your life time.

When I was ten years old Success meant throwing a fast ball batters could not hit.  On my 55^th birthday my adult kids talked me into throwing a fast ball at Knott’s Berry Farm which almost sent me to the hospital in an ambulance.  It felt like my shoulder broke in two.

I promise you my definition of success is no longer throwing fast balls!

For millions of people earning a million dollars a year seems like a lot of money, but if Bill Gates only made a million dollars a year he would be asking his wife to sign them up for food stamps.  You cannot make Success a destination you can only make it your definition.

Significant Success

You will never have significant success in anything until it becomes an obsession with you. An obsession is something that consumes your thoughts, time and actions. You can also refer this as “Passion”.  When you have “Passion” you do not need things or people to motivate you, inspire you, push you or light your fire.  Passion is like a burning inferno that moves you into massive action that knows no such thing as defeat, discouragement, disappointment, despair or double mindedness.  Passion eliminates fear and doubt as well as procrastination.

The reason so many people walk around dead, uninspired, unmotivated, discouraged, defeated and lethargic lives is because they are not passionate about what they are doing.  Until you become passionate about financial freedom you will always struggle with lack and shortage, until you get passion for getting better and doing better you will stay at your current level and never progress forward.  Many people mistake excitement with passion.  Excitement is like a vapor of alcohol that catches fire and makes a bright flame but soon goes out and disappears as the alcohol evaporates.

Passion is like the internal lava of a volcano a perpetual mass of burning energy. In business, once your passion goes down so does your business and income.  And unless you keep the fires of passion burning and alive your dreams, business and income will go out!  Never leave the responsibility of your passion in the hands of another.  The fact is nobody can flame the fires of passion in our heart except us

Your Life Matters!

Your Life Matters! It matters to people and it matters to God. Your life is important, never forget that or ever let anyone or anything tell you different.

If you are not being talked about, gossiped about, criticized, lied about and blocked from peoples Facebook “You Are Not Succeeding Enough”.  Nothing boils the blood of “Losers” more than your “Success”.  Jesus did nothing but good to everyone but He was accused of being a drunk, devil and hanging out with prostitutes. Remember “Criticism” is nothing more than the “Death Gargle of an Underachiever”. 

Don’t worry about those who talk behind your back or those who hate you because you are improving your life and succeeding.  Never exhort to trying to defend yourself or “Prove Your Innocence”.  Your time and energy is far too valuable to waste it on losers.  The truth of the matter all those who hate you, are bitter towards you and talk about you are so full of anger and bitterness lie awake in bed with insomnia, have that hatred burn an ulcer in their stomach so bad it gives them a bloody stool…all because they hate your success!

I know people who have dropped dead with disease and some right now with cancer because they had and have so much bitterness towards my success in life.  Never pay the high price of bitterness and hatred; it will put you in the grave.

I never offer a defense when I am attacked because my enemies won’t believe it and my true friends don’t need it.  If you are a professional with integrity, and have to prove your innocence to a so called friend…they are not your friend.

Success comes with lots of benefits and the luxury of financial freedom but you do have to learn how to duck and dodge tomatoes.

“Intention of the Heart”

Be too big for Gossip.  As a high caliber Professional never allow yourself to give gossip or be part of gossip or spread gossip.  You are to high quality of a person to allow yourself to stoop to that type of low caliber behavior. Donald Trump has a policy in his company that he says is one of the main reasons why his company is so successful which is “Never Do Business With Any One You Do Not Trust”.  Trust is an attribute that is more valuable than all the diamonds in the world.  Trust unlike precious diamonds cannot be purchased.

As humans we often make mistakes and we will continue to make mistakes as long as we are on this earth.  And the fact is the more you accomplish, the more you succeed, the more wealth you create the more mistakes you will make.  Greatness is paved with the road of mistakes.  Mistakes do not make you untrustworthy.  If your company goes bankrupt that does not mean you are dishonest and cannot be trusted.

Trust is not a product of a perfect life that never makes mistake, Trust is a byproduct of the “Intention of the Heart”.  A person who cannot be trusted is a person who has a wicked heart full of evil intention to do harm to people on purpose.  Once you intentionally do evil to someone from the corruption of the heart you will never be trusted again and that is a very sad thing that will mar your career and future.

Mistakes can be forgiven, status can be restored but broken trust creates an irreparable breach in relationships.  Yes broken trust can be forgiven but trust can never truly be restored.  Be very careful that you do not get marked or marred as one who cannot be trusted.  You can lie about people and say that they cannot be trusted but in time that person’s integrity will rise to the surface and it will be known that those were false accusations.  On the other hand no matter how much you try to hide or cover up a corrupt heart that cannot be trusted, that too will soon surface for all to see.

In everything you do keep a high standard…you are a true Professional!

“It Feels Good To Own Gold”!

I am here to tell you “It Feels Good To Own Gold”!

Can anyone tell me how in the world we are already at the latter end of 2014? It was just 2012 yesterday…right?  Wow, how time just flies by and that is why the most successful people in the world protect, guard, manage and maximize their time.  They live everyday to squeeze the most “juice” out of each day.  Life is about living, and living on your terms whatever those terms mean to you.  Do you know why most people are not living their dreams…don’t answer that because I will tell you.  “They cannot afford to at this present moment”.  When we come to think about it, it is a sad thing to have so much available to us, so much to have and enjoy and the only thing that keeps us away from those good things is “Money” or more precisely put the “lack of money”.

Now here is the fact, “There is No Shortage of Wealth or Money in the World”.  Wealth does not go away it simply exchanges hands, from person to person, from Generation to Generation.  Think about all the wealthy icons, how much money do you think Henry Ford made in his life time?  Did he get to take one dime of all those millions of dollars he made in his life time? Nope, but his wealth is still here on earth with his family still working.

If there is no shortage of wealth on the earth than why are most people broke.  Why don’t they have their fare share of money to live their dreams? It is due to their personal choice of things.

You get to choose to practice what broke people do and continue to stay broke and struggling or you get to choose to practice what rich people do and create financial freedom.

Rich people spend less than they earn, put some of what they save into superior currency of Gold bullion and increase their earning capacity.

Broke people spend every dime they earn plus money they don’t have on credit cards, don’t have a dime in savings, and search their closets like a pirate seeking treasures to find any gold jewelry they can so that they can go and sell it!

You are on one of these two plans and whatever plan you are on explains your present conditions and predicts your future outcome.  Ask yourself today what plan you are on, it’s a sobering question. Do yourself a great favor and read the book “The Richest Man in Babylon”.

Success is the Harvest

Sometimes we have to put money down in order for our income to go up! Never be afraid to invest in yourself, knowledge, education and business.  You are your best investment.  We spend thousands of dollars a year on books, programs, audios, home study courses, seminars and events so that we can be the best we can be so that we can serve you the best that we can.  I am always amazed how people are afraid to invest a few hundred dollars to go to a week end event to improve their life and business but have no problem spending a few hundred dollars a month on food and social drinks.

Success is the harvest of the time, energy, sacrifice and money we have invested in our lives to grow and expand personally as well as professionally. There have been many times that we have found out about an upcoming seminar and training event and cleared our entire calendar to attended that event.  As we move forward in our journey if we keep in the forefront of our mind that in order to reap much we must invest much to become a person and professional of excellence and quality.

Life will always have its up’s and down’s but that does not require us to ride that roller coaster of life.  We can grow to the point and place in life that we ride the waves of life like a professional and skillful surfer in the open ocean.  When it comes to life, live it like a… ”Professional”.

“Problems We Solve”

We are known and remembered by the “Problems We Solve” or the “Problems We Create”.

The marketplace is very attracted to those who solve problems and will in fact pay high fees depending on the importance of the problems you solve. This is why I counsel business owners and professionals never “frustrate your customers and clients” but always seek to make your business culture one that is easy and user friendly.  We welcome problem solvers with open arms and appreciate their contribution to our life, but when we encounter a “problem creator” we want to run to the rest room and throw up!

There are some people no matter what, they always have problems, create problems and are a major problem.  The sad fact is, they don’t want their problems solved they just enjoy causing problems.  These people are extremely toxic and addicting and difficult to rid your business and life from, that is what makes them so dangerous.  It’s ok to be a “walking problem” when we are toddlers but hey when the diapers come off so should our problem making come off too.  Our Grandson E-Jay who is coming up to his first birthday is a bundle of joy who we love without measure, but that homeboy is trouble on two little legs.  Our house looks like a “Hurricane” hit it after he comes for a visit.

The other day Melinda went to go pick him up, and she wanted to take our Nissan Cube but I said no just take the new car.  As we left together in separate cars, I taking the Cube got to the corner when I had this major vision of E-Jay in the back seat slinging cookies, crackers and juice all over the leather seats in our brand new car.  I slammed on my brakes, made and instant U-turn and flew down the high way to catch up to Melinda.  Speeding with flashing lights and honking horn I finally caught up to hear and yelled “Pull Over”!

I jumped out of the car and said…I just had a Vision and it wasn’t good!  We traded cars instantly.  Let’s make sure as professional adults we get the reputation of being a “Problem Solver instead of people looking at us and having a vision of a “Burning Inflamed Hemorrhoid” on two feet better known as a pain in the rump!

Give Up

Sometimes you have to “Give Up” before you can “Go Up”.  Give up?  That sounds strange coming from a Self Help Expert.  Think about it, if you want excellent health and you smoke, you will have to “Give Up” smoking, if you drink you will have to “Give Up” drinking, and if you eat poorly you will have to “Give Up” junk food if…Good Health is your objective.

The same is true in business.  There are some customers, clients, relationships, contacts, networks, products, associates and businesses that you have to “Give Up” before you can progressively “Go Up”.  Giving Up on things that no longer work be it people, places or things is “Never Easy” but “Absolutely Necessary” to move on, move up and move forward.  It is always painful to exit relationships be it business or personal even though they are no longer working and have become toxic.

I am always saddened when I have to finally “Give Up” on someone and walk away.  My Mentor taught me it is the saddest day in the life of a protégé’ when their Mentor steps out of their life.  My medical doctor told me on one visit “When you stop caring about your health is the day I stop caring about your health”.  At first I was highly offended at his comment but on the way home I realized what he said was right and truthful.

As long as you hang on to and refuse to “Give Up” the things that no longer work or serve you they will continue to eat away your success, energy, time, life, finances, health and business.  People have refused to “Give Up” smoking; excessive drinking and a host of other addictions and those things put them in their grave.  Business owners have refused to “Give Up” bad customers and/or employees and it drove them into bankruptcy.

I do my best to serve and acquire the Right people and discipline; no force myself to “Give Up” the wrong people.  By doing this I am able to do more good for people while at the same time be the best I can be.  Take a look at your life and business and see if there is anything you need to…”Give Up” in order for you to “Go Up”

Seasons for Your Harvest

If you ever bought a new car from a dealership you know what a hectic, all day battle that is. In fact after 8-10 hours everyone from sales people, managers and you are wore out bloody mess and you drive off with your new car needing a week to recuperate from that battle.  Welcome to the world of Sales!  Now, do you want to be part of that mess?  I do not know about you but I run from that junk as fast as I can.  The great new is, you can run and operate a professional profitable business and even sales career without using these types of tactics.

You see everything in life is based on “Seasons”.  If you understand that you will know every person that is exposed to your “Offer” is either ready for it or they are not.  They are either “Harvest Ready” or they are Green.  If you eat a green banana it will only give you the runs so why eat it?  I have had many customers, clients and prospects give me the “Monazuma Revenge”. It was my own fault, they were green and I tried to make them ripe or harvest ready.

Today I run a highly revolved, extremely effective marketing system that only deals with people who are “Ready” for my offer.   This makes such a pleasant experience for everyone involved and makes business a “Journey of Joy” instead of a Night Mare from Elms street.  This is the realm of “Non Selling” and one of service and instruction.  The key factor to operate this kind of marketing system and business expansion is to discipline yourself to “Never Eat Green Fruit”.

If someone tells you they are not ready or interested in your offer…”Believe Them!”  They are telling you the season or timing of your offer is not right for them at this time and that is fine.  How will you know if someone is “Harvest Ready?”  The entire transaction will be one of ease and joy.  I had the privilege this week end to help one of my team partners Lesley Adams bring on a new wonderful couple into the business and the entire transaction was “Energizing” for everyone.

Resolving Obstacles

Problems, struggles and challenges do not go way because we want them too, they don’t dissolve even if we desperately need them to go away.  The only way obstacles are resolved and overcome is by dealing with them.  Because it is much easier to focus on doing the things we enjoy in life and business it becomes very easy to ignore issues that we would rather not deal with.  However, whenever we have areas that need to be addressed unless we address them head on they do not go away but in fact get worse.

Living a successful and abundant life requires daily discipline, growth and investment in you.  Look at your life as the greatest investment on earth.  What are you daily putting in? Because what you put in is what you put out.  It is the same with our money.  How we look and view our money will determine our financial future.  Nobody could possibly deny the economy problem we are facing globally. One cannot deny the fact that the US dollar is in serious trouble and that we are headed for another 1929 financial crash.  People in 1929 were warned 3 years before the crash that is was coming.  The ones saying that were labeled “Crazy Fanatics” that should be put in a mental hospital.  It was the “Roaring 20’s” how could they have a financial collapse?
