Help…I am desperately looking for you. I cannot see you and cannot seem to find you.Where are you? 

Believe it or not, this is the heart cry of millions of people who are looking for you and want to fill your bank account full of cash; they are called your Ideal Customer. There is no shortage of ideal customers, no shortage of sales and no shortage money.  So what is the problem with your cash flow and business growth?  These ideal customers cannot find you because of a Book Postcardlack of exposure on your part.

Finding “New Customers” is the life blood of every business.  However, for the masses of those seeking success, finding new customers is as painful as getting dental work with out Novocaine.  The good news is…it does not have to be that way.

How do you find new customers?  You don’t…you let customers, the people who have the money and desire to buy what you are selling find you. I assure you, those kind of people are out there by the groves.  Why do you think infomercials have been so successful?  Selling billions of dollars of products that will end up in a few years at the 99 cent store.  The key is not finding and prospecting for new customers but making yourself visible and seen in the market place so that your ideal customer can find you and fill your pockets with cash.  Many people have a hard time conceptualizing the fact that right now, no matter what you are selling, millions of people are out there desperately looking for you wanting to buy your product.

Please, write this next statement in bold letters where you can see it everyday…”There is No Shortage of People who have the Money and Desire to Buy what I Sell”.  At this very moment, your perfect customer is looking all over for you, but can not find you.  Why?  You are like the indivisible man or woman walking around and no one can detect your presence.

In order for your customers to find you, you have to have a fog horn sounding, flashing lights, fireworks going off, beam lights flashing in the sky…in essence, you must be a shining lighthouse.  How do you do that?

Exposure and the power of Leverage

chriswisebookYou must let the masses know you exist and how to find you, because in the mist of the masses are more ideal customers than you could handle.  Everything I do is about exposure and making my presence known in the market place, allowing people to find me.  Listen, you do not sell products or services, what you do is solve problems, help people and make their lives better.  Customers are looking for you, you do not have to sell them, just let them know how to find you.

Most people spend their entire life trying to sell people their products and services.  That is a hard road to travel that is laced with a very high failure rate.  You can succeed with this method…if you are addicted to misery.  Why not do it the easy way and make more money and enjoy life more?

The more exposure you get, the easier it will be for people who want what you have to find you.  That is the key to more profits and business growth.  So I ask you, what are you doing to gain massive exposure?  One of the best things you are doing is being a Co-Author in our books, which leads me to our next secret…

Leverage:  If you do not employ leverage in your business, you are working to hard and robbing yourself of a financial fortune.  You want to make sure you blow your fog horn in a crowd of thousands, millions is even better, and not just a group of 10 people at a time.  On the other hand, you do not want to spend a ton of money on advertising that does not work.  The key is to ask; “How can I get the most bang for my exposure buck?  Yes there is an investment in making your presence known in the market place.

People will say the best exposure is free, that my friend is the death gargle of an under achievers.  When it comes to growing your business, do not build it on free stuff.  Excellent quality is never free!  Why do you think the commercial at half time during the Super Bowl is so expensive?  Prime exposure.

Take a moment and think about shifting your mindset from finding customers to learning how to get customers to find you.  Not only is this type of method a lot easier, is far more productive and profitable.

Here is a little exercise I encourage you to do everyday; Visualize people with a fist full of cash, running in a mad rush, calling out your name to find you so they can exchange that fist full of cash for your product and then ask yourself this question; “What can I do today to help those people find me?”  Then write that answer down and implement it.

The Worst Payers Are The Biggest Complainers…

The legendary Jim Rohn said that “Success Leaves Clues” and that is so true.  On the other hand, bad customers leave clues as well.  What I have jjimrohn_seated_2found to be true after 30 years in business are the prospects and customers that put you through all kinds of demands, ask for unreasonable extras, complain the most, and contribute the least pay the worst.  Those who want and demand the most gives the least.

The moment I start smelling a “Rat” I kick their ass out as fast as I can and refuse to do any kind of business with them, and I suggest that if you find customers trying to crawl into your business camp that demand more and wanting to pay less, you do the same.  There is only one thing worse than having no customers and that is having bad customers.

Perhaps you’ve heard the story of the little bird. He had his wing over his eye and he was crying. The owl said to the bird, “You are crying.” “Yes,” said the little bird, and he pulled his wing away from his eye. “Oh, I see,” said the owl. “You’re crying because the big bird pecked out your eye.” And the little bird said, “No, I’m not crying because the big bird pecked out my eye. I’m crying because I let him.”

I see so many business owners and professionals going through so much misery and taking so much crap from demanding, unrealistic customers because their business is so bad and the economy is so harsh.  Both realities are unnecessary.  The problem is that they have no proven marketing plan in place in order to “Attract Their Perfect, Ideal Customer”.  We bend over backwards, do the unreasonable and go the extra ten miles to please and accommodate our customers.  I have personally taken calls from customers at 3:00 A.M. because in their part of the world it’s 10:00 A.M.

goldmedalFrom Childhood I have been fascinated with the history of the Gold Rush days.  Tales of wonderful true stories of those brave men and women who staked everything they had and endured unfathomable conditions in the hopes of striking it rich. Hitting that vein where gold flows like honey from a comb.  Indeed there were some who did exactly that but those folks were few and far in between.

Our earth is filled with billions upon billions of dollars worth of gold but no matter how vast the supply is, somewhere at some point there is a limit.  We may never know what that limit is, but there is a limit.  However there is one gold mine on earth that its resources are unlimited and inexhaustible.  It has more wealth in it than all the gold on earth.  The great news is, this gold mine belongs to you and you can pull out as much wealth from it as you desire.

You do not need a treasure map to find this gold mine nor do you need expensive equipment to mine it out.  Where is all this gold?  It is in your mind, it is called Mental Gold.  You see, all wealth is a by-product of ideas; before any product ever hits the market it is first created in some ones thoughts.  It was first mental gold (an idea) before it was turned into thinkingphysical gold (money).

There is more money, wealth and gold in your mind than all the wealth that was in King Solomon kingdom.  The gold in your mind is unlimited and inexhaustible.  It is where all riches come from.  It is the starting point the creation of all wealth and riches.  You can real pan gold from the rivers of your mind.

Just like you have to go within a natural gold mine to bring it without, you must also go within to bring mental gold without.   Here are 3 easy steps to mine the gold that is in your mind.

Acknowledgement

You must acknowledge the fact that all wealth starts with ideas. Every product, service, business, house, trailer, shirt and shoe came from an idea.  Some thought it first, than brought it forth.  Right now you are just one idea away from becoming a millionaire.  You are one idea away from having a cash flow stream that has no end.  One idea and two words made one man a millionaire at the turn of the century.

Bottle it! That is how sodas went from the fountain in drug stores to bottles in the home.  A man sitting in a drug store enjoying his soft drink thought What a great idea to have this in a bottle.  He went to the soda company and said I have an idea and want a million dollars for it.  Did he get his million dollars?  Well, let me ask you, have you ever drunk a soda from a bottle?

Know what you want

Know exactly what you want.  Ninety five out of a hundred people have no clue of what they really want.  When you order your food at a restaurant do you ask for a specific dish or do you just say bring me some food?  If you have to know what you want and be specific at a restaurant, does it seem unreasonable that you would have to know what you want in life in specific terms in order to get it?

The reason why most people are challenged with not knowing what they want is because they have been trained and programmed by people and experiences not to go after their dreams because to do so only leads to frustration, disappointment and pain.  Although this is a true fact for millions of people, it does not have to be this way.  You can reach all of your dreams you can have what you want and be who you want to be.  This blog is teaching you how to do just that.

The second thing that trips people up from knowing what they want is they cannot figure out how in the world they could get it.  They go into their knowledge bank in their head and cannot find the answers so they just accept the fact they cannot have what they truly want.  Let me put a 20 foot speaker next to your ear and shout with a high-powered microphone…

It is not your job to figure out how you are going to get the things you want; your only job is to figure out what you want!

Everyone is so plugged up with how they are going to accomplish their dreams.  Who told you it was your job to come up with a plan on how to accomplish your dreams anyway?  Who made you Master Substance of the Universe?  The reason why you struggle with getting what you want is you are trying to do a job that is not yours.  If you want light in your house, your job is to turn on a switch but instead you are rubbing two sticks together like a crazy person trying to generate electricity to light up the room.

No wonder life is so hard for most people; they do not even know what their job and responsibility are in life.  If you try to produce gold (riches) with your hands you will break your back.  If you produce gold (riches) from your thoughts you will break the bank.  What do you want to do?  The choice is yours.

Every time you know exactly what you want and are crystal clear about it, it is like having a pan full dirt taken from a river bed that is filled with gold and you are swirling it around to expose those nuggets.  You are panning gold from the river of your mind!

Thinking Right

Thinking right means training yourself to only think on the things you want.  law of attractionThinking wrong is thinking on things you do not want.  Most people allow their thinking to be dictated by the things that are going on around them.  If your rent is $1500.00 a month and your check book says you only have $900.00 in it are your going to let that affect your thoughts?  98% of all people will and then start thinking about all the things they do not want; asking people for a loan, a phone call from the landlord and a ton of other negative things that your mind can come up with.  Does this help solve the problem?  No, it only extends and prolongs the pain of those conditions, but the worse thing those negative thoughts do is create the same lack  in the future repeating themselves again.  The only thing that will change those circumstances around for good is to force, train and discipline yourself to keep thinking and looking at the things you really want.

Am I saying that if you were in that condition that just thinking about what you want (the full amount of rent money) would make the shortage of money just pop out of thin air?  No!  No more than if you were starving and you took a carrot seed put it in the ground and expect it to pop up a full-grown carrot in 10 minutes so that you can eat it.

You may still have to go through whatever uncomfortable actions you have to take to get the rent money, but what thinking right will do is get you to a place that you never have to face have those kind of conditions again.  Please understand that thinking right does not deliver you from unpleasant conditions, it is a creator of producing pleasant conditions for your life. 

Right Thinking creates the future

Not erase the past.

What you now have in your life is a product of your past (thinking, paradigms and actions) what you will have tomorrow is a product of your present (thinking, paradigms and actions).  You can guarantee a great tomorrow by creating great thoughts today.  When you focus and think about the things you want today it will show up in your future.  This happens by law not chance.  Therefore the truth of the matter is…

You manufacture tomorrow Today!

No one can control your thoughts but you.  Your thoughts are the only thing in life that you have 100 percent control of.  You can think what you want when you want and nobody can change or alter that but you.  Are you choosing your thoughts based on what you want or are you letting your circumstance dictate your thoughts according to have you have?  Unless you are thinking of the things you want you will always keep getting all things you now have.  This is always true because life is based on set laws not morality, chance or good luck.

Your future is not in the hands of the stars or crystals, or prophets but in the power of your thoughts and actions.  Your thoughts predict your future not people and things.  People may influence your thoughts that create your future, but in the end it was your thoughts that created it.

If you want to have wealth, riches and a magnificent life you can have it.  It all starts with right thinking and right thinking means thinking on things you want and not on all the things you do not want.  It is as simple as that.

Don’t Be the “Low Price” Leader

Far too many small business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals try to follow and emulate Wal Mart’s business model and be the King and Low Price Leader.  It worked for the late Billionaire Sam Walton, but for most entrepreneurs it is the quickest route to Bankruptcy.

The second most common mistakes professionals make, especially true in a challenging economy is to start slashing prices and lowering them in hopes to earn less profit but do more volume.  If you leave your wealth dependent upon the masses and large volume of sales you are going to sink like a lead balloon. If your plan to wealth is based on less profit on more volume…”You Will Work To Hard for to Little”. 

In fact, the only reason you should be selling a low price low profit margin item is to use it as a Lead Generator to attract and obtain new customers.  And if that is your marketing tool, you should be giving it away not trying to sell it.  For instance, if you took my annual income and divided it hourly, it comes to well over $500.00 an hour.  Do you think I am interested in spending an hour or more with people trying to sell them a $50.00 CD?

I only spend time talking with future prospects that I am 99.9 percent sure that I will be paid a minimum of $500.00 an hour.  For example, if I am selling a $2000.00 product of ours, I know that I can spend up to three hours of my time with that person as long as I know there is a 9.99 percent chance that I will sell them that item.  Now how do I position myself to get in that 9.99 percent range?  Before I talk with anyone about our product line, they will have been well processed through a multi-step pre-qualify marketing process that everyone in our data base goes through.  Here are the pre-qualifying steps.

  1. Can my product drastically help them and give them what they want?
  2. Do they want my product
  3. Can they afford my product 

When Yes is the answer to all three of those questions, then and only then do I get in front of anyone and start the sharing process.  Now, when I get in front of someone and I have three hours to close the deal, I can normally get them to say Yes to my offer in 20 minutes or less, however, I give them the whole 3 hours if they want it.  I do not take the money in the shortest time possible.

When people get an email or letter from me offering them a CD or Product for $99.00 most think I am trying to sell them it.  Or you kidding me, I have zero interest in selling $100.00 products, it’s a complete waste of my time and based on my hourly fee, it actually cost me money.  Why then do I do it?  Because I am in the business of helping people and I truly care about their future success.  I make these training CD’s available because I know they are key elements and tools that will help people reach their dreams.  Someone asked me, if that is true, why don’t you just give the training CD’s away?  I said if you are willing to pull your head out of your Ass for 5 minutes I will tell you why.  First, we give away tens of thousands of dollars of free resources every month and second the most injustice thing we can do to someone is to disable them by feeding them instead of teaching them how to fish.

The first law of Success and you better write this down is “Success is Book PostcardNever Free and Always Demands Payment!” No one can Feed You Success, Success must be caught by you, and some kind of financial investment is the only kind of bait Success bites on.

If you learn how to become proficient in marketing and master the skills of prospecting and lead generation response, you will join the ranks of those who take pride in becoming the “High Price Leader”.  Your motto and experience will be “More Value to My Customers with More Profits for My Company.

So just know, unless you and I are talking personally and you are about to write me a twelve thousand dollar check for the one and main product I sell, everything else I offer you is a tool and resource that will drastically help you become a Master in Marketing which you need to reach all of your business, professional and financial dreams.

Resources are like high-powered bullets, the world of finances and business is a “Dangerous Jungle” and everything that crawls out there will eat you for dinner.  You do not want to go out there and run out of bullets.  Wearing a fur coat because a Lion ate you is not the way to “Dress for Success”.

Are You Money Blind?

I shared with you in a past blog how Thomas Edison once asked a young apprentice of his what he wanted most in life in which the young man replied, “I want to be wealthy like you”.  After sometime Thomas Edison came back to the young apprentice with a pair of glasses that he removed the lens and replaced them with Silver dollars.  He had the young man put on the glasses and asked him, “What do you see?”  In which he replied, “I can’t see anything”.  Mr. Edison told him, “That’s your problem, money is right in front of your eyes and you cannot even see it”. artofbusinessipod

At age 93 J.C. Penny although very wealthy and successful would still go down to his office and put in a full days work.  At that age he was once asked how his eye sight was. He replied, “My eye sight is failing, but my vision has never been stronger!”  I do not know about you, but that inspires the heck out of me, and gives me the strength to climb any mountain, swim any ocean and continue on to all my dreams.

One of the most frequent but sad replies I get from people when I share with them how they can achieve their financial dreams is, “That sounds so good, but I just can’t see myself making that kind of money”.   Money Blindness is a curse you need to be healed from.  When you suffer from Money Blindness your lack, debt, limitation and despair become crystal clear and that is all you see.

When people suffer from Money Blindness they can see a thousand things wrong with any opportunity and will not be able to see one thing right about it.  When you wake up in the morning and you look at your financial condition, or your business circumstances, or your bank account what do you see?  Even in the event if you are upside down, and in financial challenging times, is that what you see?  If you can get healed of Money Blindness you would see those conditions yelling at you, “Get off your Ass you Big Dummy and change your marketing plan, business plan, get a mentor, get a new business plan and change this situation, you got the power to do so!”

Here are 3 Dynamic Principals To Cure Your Money Blindness, Business and Money Problems:

The more complicated life becomes, the more simplistic your customer needs to be served.  Fast food restaurants know that most people drive up exhausted from life and work, their eyes balls red as fire and brain to tired to think, so all the customer has to do is say, Give me a number three.  No need to waste time and energy telling the voice box every item you want. 
  1. Frustration Factor:  How hard is it for prospects to navigate on your website? It is riddled with pass codes; create an account, type in all your information before I sell you something?  Do not frustrate your customers and prospects.

If you are not a Marketing Expert it does you no good being a Business Expert, Leadership Expert, Health Expert, or any other kind of Expert for that matter.  The world is filled with the most talented, skillful, professionals that have the worlds greatest product that are broke simply because they never took the time to become…”Marketing Experts”.

If Someone Says “No” To Your Offer…Hire Them!

What do most professionals do when a prospect tells them No to their offer?  They will do one of two things.

  1. They will go away feeling rejected and defeated with a giant hole in their ego
  1. They will become the world’s biggest pest until the customer kicks them out or finally resentfully buys…then cancels.

But there is a 3rd and better way!  When someone says No to your offer, chances are very high they know someone who would say Yes to your offer, and if you are willing to pay them enough for that referral they will go to their data base like a deep-sea diver.  When someone says No to my offer, I tell them I understand, my offer is not a fit for everyone.  Then I show them five $100.00 crisp bills and say, but if you do know anyone that is looking for this (whatever I am offering), these five $100.00 bills are yours as a referral thank you.

Your eyes will bug out of your head when you see how quick a rude, no time for you, not interested in your product person suddenly now becomes your Best Friend!  I had many a No’s turned instantly around and buy my product and then say…”Now how many people can I refer to you?”  It is the perfect Painless Conversion plan to turn strangers into loyal customers that becomes a referral machine for you.

Using this method of marketing and selling will drastically turn a negative situation into a fabulous situation and cause your income to go up and make a lot of new friends as well as contacts.  Far too many people say that money is not that important (those are the stupid ones) yet it is amazing what happens to those same people when you put nice warm fuzzy one hundred dollars bills under their nose.  Their eyes get glazed over, a smile comes upon their face and although they were as mean as a junk yard dog, they now have become as docile as a baby lamb.

I once handed a man who purchased some gift certificates at our retail outlet our book The Millionaire Within as a thank you gift.  He looked at the book, and then threw it on the counter and said, “I don’t want that damn book, I am not interested in money”.  I jumped up, smiled as big as I could and shook his hand and said, “Wow, you made my day, in 50 years on this planet I never met someone as stupid as you!”  Keep up the good work because I am a hard guy to surprise and shock.

The guy was so stunned, and did not know how to respond, he had a hard time finding the exit door.  He walked away with his lips moving but no words were coming out. I am lucky he didn’t knock my teeth out!

I had another genius when I told him about the $500.00 referral fee say, “Is this some kind of a bribe?  “I said, it can be, is that what you were looking for?”  He replied, “I don’t take bribes…is there any else we can name it?”

What is so great about this method is how much fun you will have. I had one lady ask me after I showed her the five hundred-dollar bills, “Is there any way you could do a thousand”? I said sure…bring me two referrals!  I once paid a CFO of a major medical firm $58,000 in referral fees, that dude was motivated!  Of course he was a major center of influence and had a lot of high quality contacts and network, and I paid him much more than $500.00 for each referral but I asked him one day how he got so motivated…he looked at me and said, “I have kids!”

Here are two given about every professional;

  1. They all have contacts and know people
  2. They all would pick up $500.00 if they saw it laying on the ground

Are you the best kept Secret in your industry?  One reason so many extraordinary talented people never reach international fame or earn what they are worth is because they fall into the above category of being the best kept Secret in town.  The two undeniable facts in business are;

  1. The world is filled with extraordinary talented people, who have the skills, talent, ambition, drive and everything else needed to make themselves a worldwide success but lack just one thing; they are undiscovered in the world. Or to sum it up; They are the best kept Secret in the marketplace.
  1. The world (marketplace) has an unlimited amount of people who are willing to pay untold fortunes to receive the goods, benefits, services and products offered by those unknown talented people.

As Donald Trump has said; The first step to be successful is going from a nobody to a somebody!  What that really means is, do not allow yourself to fall into the category of being the best kept Secret in the marketplace.

Find the leader within who you are.

What always amazes me is when I come across a teacher for the first time and I hear them speak, or read their book which contains mind boggling information and I say; where in the fart-coon have you been?  Then I pass out when I learn they have been teaching this stuff for 20 years and are unknown.

The reason we have such a wide gap between these two factors is due to a misconception.

The misconception is:  If I am the best in my industry, and work hard at being the best that I can, and my products, services, skills and talents bring untold benefits to others with exceptional value and a competitive price that will bring me global success.

The Truth is: The key to massive success in business is being accessible to the marketplace; and the way to increase your accessibility factor is by being well known to the people who are happy to pay you a fortune for what you have and what you do!

Write this down; “If you make it a goal to be well known in the marketplace, your financial troubles will be well gone.”

But what if that “Virus” or carrier infected a host like the mass marketplace, at an accelerated pace that was unstoppable with a positive element like your branding, message, product and service; what would that be called?  Well, it has many names like;

  • Massive Success
  • Massive Exposure
  • Instant Cash Flow
  • Perpetual Income

However we could sum it up in three simple words:  “The Millionaire Virus”

The Law of Activity

Have you ever tried to exercise the Law of Attraction and did not seem to get the results you were hoping for?  I think everyone on the planet has!  Just like anything new, the Law of Attraction has a leaning curve as well.  However, you can save yourself a lot of heartache, disappointment, frustration and problems if you just realize that the “Law of Activity” is what activates and makes the “Law of Attraction” work.  In the crudest way I can put it, basically the Law of Attraction is not going to do anything for you until you work your rear end off at your profession or goal.

Expect miracles; just do not expect them to happen overnight! Miracles do happen and although I am a firm believer in divine intervention, the basis of miracles are the results, the after math, the positive consequences if you will, of doing the right things that are headed in the right direction over a period of time..  These are the three key ingredients miracles are made up of:

  1. Right actions
  2. In the right direction
  3. Consistently done over a period of time 

Violate any of these three elements and you will not see miracles in your life and business, you will see mediocrity at all levels.  What got me through many of winter storms is no matter how hard things got, no matter what the outside circumstances portrayed; with an iron will I forced myself to keep taking right actions, in the right direction, everyday.

What were those actions and direction I took everyday?  They are the three things I have been proclaiming for the past 10 years from the mountain top;

1. Keep marketing your business even when the marketplace is not buying your products   The marketplace always regains its appetite and that is why you keep going even when they are not feeding.  What do 97 percent of business people do?  Give up!

2. Exposure:  Keep exposing your business and what you do and you will meet the right contacts that will unlock the bank vault for you. You are one contact way from having the floodgates of cash flow to you.

3 Associations:  I love what Donald Trump teaches; the first step to success is going from being a nobody to a somebody.  How do you do that?  Do something with people who already are a somebody!

When it comes to business growth, we cannot control who will say Yes and who will say No to our offer, but what we can control is our daily activity of how many people we make that offer too.  We get into financial trouble when we expect growth without the proper marketing activity.

law of attractionOne of the most amazing people I have ever known in my life is my friend Manny and we have been best friends for the past 35 years.  Why Manny is so amazing is he is like a Bumble Bee, defying science.  According to the law of physics due to the size of the body of the Bumble Bee and its wing span, it is scientifically impossible for it to fly.  But don’t tell the Bumble Bee that because he does not know it, and so he just zooms in the air anyway.

Manny too defies all business logic in the way he dresses and conducts business.  How he runs an extremely profitable business is mind-blowing and beyond my understanding, in fact Manny himself did not understand how he did it.  So for more than 30 years we just named him “The Phenomena”  But then a couple of years ago it dawned on me his Secret.  This guy is never moved by the word “No” and he never stops marketing his business from the time he gets up to the time he goes to bed.

It does not matter where or who he is with, he is promoting his company non stop, seven days a week, 365 days a year.  Even if you have no need for his sign company, you are going to hear about his company and what he can do for you, even if you live under a bridge!

You can do almost everything the wrong way in business and still succeed beyond your wildest dreams as long as you daily use the Law of Activity in marketing your business.

Hitch Hiking

Back in the 60’s when I was a kid growing up, hitch hiking was a very common and pretty safe way to travel from one destination to another. It did not cost you a penny either, you just stood on the side of the road and stuck your thumb out and before too long someone would pull over and give you a ride. Boy, have times have changed.  You would have to be a complete nut to hitch hike today, or pick up a hitch hiker because you know in this crazy world one of those stupid bastards are going to “Eat” the other one for dinner, either hitch hiker eats the driver or the driver eats the hitch hiker!  Who needs Alfred Hitchcock in the 21st Century? His freaky movies have now become real!

But there is a version of Business Hitch Hiking that is effective, powerful and creates a ton of new business and income.

Think Like a MillionaireThere is no denying that we are living in different times, a different economy, and different trends.  This all equates down to one thing, we must adapt our message and marketing methods to correspond with these changing times.  However, in the midst of these diversities, one thing has not changed and will forever stay a constant and that is the power of exposure.  This law in the past has been called the numbers game.

Marketing methods, products and services are always evolving, but those changes must reach the masses to be effective and fulfill their purpose.  No matter what you change in your business, product, marketing or message, the fact never changes that your results of success comes down to one thing and one thing only; the number of people you constantly reach to hear your message and given the opportunity to accept your offer.

Consistent exposure of your business and product to your target market is the number one key factor of both business and monetary success.  The reason being is, we cannot control if people say yes or no to our offer, but what we can control is how many people get to hear about our offer.  And after everything is said and done, the success of your business and product line is based on numbers.  How many people are hearing your story?

Please mark this on your wall and never forget it; An average product with superior exposure will out sell, out perform and create more profits, than a superior product with inferior exposure!

This is the exact reason why household names like Disneyland, Coke, and McDonald restaurants spend millions of dollars annually on advertising and exposure.  Do you think they invest all this money because they like spending money?  Just go work for them and when you get your first paycheck you will soon find out how frugal they are!

If you want to increase your sales, income, business and product line, take every opportunity you can to expose your business to the marketplace.  Here is a tip to maximize your exposure.  (It has been the foundation of how I built all three of my companies to levels that far exceed my income expectations and dreams).

Leverage:  Get others to tell your story, advertise and promote you.  They say word of mouth advertising is the best advertising in the world.  That has a lot of truth to it; the problem with that is, it usually is short lived.  The very best way to leverage yourself with getting others to market for you is what I like to refer to as Hitch Hiking Marketing.  Look, when people give you good word of mouth advertising, the longevity and depth of that kind of marketing is dependent upon that persons motivation and network.  Although highly appreciative, it is not a solid foundation to base your marketing efforts on.

However, if you can find a product, a company or service that you can ride along with into their markets, they are motivated to reach their markets for their own profit, you just happen to ride along with them.  In essence, they tell your story on their marketing dime.  Brian Tracy told me once that if you just look at what successful people (businesses) do, and follow their model, you can expect to get the results they get.  I took his advice and applied it to our publishing company back in 2006.  How did I sell and market over 200,000 printed copies of our Power of Mentorship books?  I got 19 other co-authors to join me in the book, and now instead of just me selling and marketing the book to my market, I have 19 co-authors who are going into their markets and as they do, my story, website, name and information is riding along (Hitch Hiking) at no cost.  Of course, it works the same way for them as well.  This is why you can go onto any search engine and just type in Power of Mentorship and we dominate the sites.

How else do I implement Hitch Hiking marketing? I take every opportunity to write forewords for books, give testimonials and endorsements for products and services I know are good.  Any place I can get my name or products to ride along on, I am there.

How do the big companies use leveraging to expand their business and use this exact same kind of Hitch Hiking Marketing?  It is called Sponsorship.  It is one of the most cost effective and result producing methods of leveraging you can use.  I take every opportunity I can to Sponsor projects.

If you can find a successful company or product, they are going to spend thousands upon thousands of dollars on getting their product into the marketplace.  They are going to reach markets and people that would be virtually impossible for you to reach.   And by understanding the power of sponsorship, you can tie your company into this massive stream of marketing by simply riding on their marketing dime.

It is the epitome of leveraging yourself, your company and your products to grow your company and increase your profits for pennies on the dollar.  Once again, as Brian Tracy said; If you do what the successful do, you can expect to have what the successful have.

Show me any company or product that is not growing, and I can assure you it boils down to one thing; lack of exposure, not getting in front of enough people.  So, to ensure the success of what you do, stick out your thumb and hitch a ride on the next power train that is going where you want to go; in front of a lot of people!

Hitch Hiking Marketing is the best advice I ever received and for sure was the smartest and most profitable bit of advice I ever implemented.  I hope you follow my example, I truly believe that if you do, like me, you will far surpass your expectations!
